This kind of "strategy" is building a horrible future for America. We won't be able to buy necessities in the coming years due to the fight between the Dems and Reps over war funding. That's the part of the article I found most disturbing.

And thinking along those lines, any Democrat or Republican who becomes the next president is going to have one Mell of a Hess on their hands.
Who in their right mind would even run for that office?

Actually, Obey may be partly right because so many neighborhoods in Iraq now, and especially in Baghdad, have been successfully cleansed of other ethnicities.

The number of internal refugees is now at about 2 1/2 million, most of whom were driven from their homes by their neighbors. Sunnis driven from Shia neighborhoods and Shia driven from Sunni. What that means is the the religious, sectarian dividing line now is much more distinct, much homogenous, and many neighborhoods are now devoid of other sects. Consequently, they really may now be running out of people to kill.
