But the question still remins...

Did Obama know of these things Jones said beforehand and was complicit in hiring him or did the administration not even bother to vet him and show negligence in the first place?...

Here's Obama's senior Advisor Valerie Jarrett just last month...

They've "been watching him since Oakland" and didn't know about his remarks?...Or they DID and welcome that sort of thing?...

Obama SHOULD answer this...but knowing the media, they'll never ask it...

Many people who are not wackos by any means (and many who are) thought something was fishy about 9-11 right off the bat.

Obama's vetting record seems a bit rushed, maybe he will do better in his next term!

911 was just the final nail...

He's on tape saying he wants to remove the current economic system and install a new one called "Eco-Equity"...

He's on tape accusing white people of intentionally poisoning minorities...

He's on tape making jokes about President Bush on a crackpipe (which, I'm sure you'll find hysterical but would have a coniption fit if someone in the next Executive Administration said that about Obama)...

BTW - Notice the REACTION from the crowd?...Cheers and applause...

Proud of Dems yet?...

No salty...911 is only a small part of the program...

On top of these statements directly from his mouth, here's a little more on Van Jones...

First, he's a supporter of a cop-killer...

Timing Of Protest Is Suspect

Quote:
Mumia supporters disrupt youth event

A supporter of a Pennsylvania death row inmate denied that demonstrators were trying to upstage a long-planned dialogue between Oakland police and local youth Thursday night.

More than 150 demonstrators marched from 14th Street and Broadway to the Oakland Federal Building to demand that the Justice Department re-open its corruption investigation of the Philadelphia Police Department.

Supporters of Mumia Abu-Jamal, a death row inmate convicted for the 1981 shooting death of a Philadelphia police officer, said the protest was called after the Supreme Court on Monday rejected claims that Abu-Jamal, a former radio journalist and Black Panther, did not receive a fair trial.

``We knew there was another event going on, but the timing of the court decision is what dictated when the protest was held,'' said Van Jones, a San Francisco civil rights lawyer who helped coordinate the protest march.

Jones said about 15 protesters occupied the rotunda at the Federal Building on Clay Street in an act of civil disobedience with the hope they would be arrested.
He named his son after a guerilla Marxist...

He was a declared "communist" during the 1990s, Jones once associated with a group that looked to Mao Zedong as an inspiration...

Want more?...

Quote:
When he graduated law school, Jones gave up plans to take a job in Washington, D.C., and moved to San Francisco instead. He got involved with Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement (STORM), a group explicitly committed to revolutionary Marxist politics whose points of unity were revolutionary democracy, revolutionary feminism, revolutionary internationalism, the central role of the working class, urban Marxism, and Third World Communism
Any ONE OF THESE should've stopped Obama from even THINKING about adding this lunatic to his administration...

You believe it was the vetting and NOT Obama knowing all of this beforehand but not thinking it would cause problems because that's the kind of people he associated with his whole life?...

Does Wright not ring a bell?...Ayers?...Pfleger?...Dohrn?...Klonsky?...Th e socialist New Party?...

From Obama's own book...

Admit it Spence...

With Obama's own history, words, and associations, Van Jones was right up Obama's alley...

Actually I believe it was both...poor vetting and -or- "foolishly" believing that he could manage to pull off this appointment without "serious" scrutiny.I'm sure he knew of some of his past statements and affiliations but to what extent is hard to say. It was a piss poor choice but I guess he's going to have to learn the hard way that the opposition is not nearly as gullible as he had hoped..

His supporters like "myself"... already knew he leaned left and that's why many of them voted for him!!! For me..he's a little too far to the left just like for some..Bush was a little too far to the right but they still voted for him.One could say that when you vote for a candidate it's a "package" deal. Your going to agree with some but not all of the candidates agenda.

I'm surprised Jones was considered in the first place, his resignation seems appropriate.
No surprise here --- glad that extreme nut is gone (at least in an official capacity).

see ya...

obama has chosen people who he is comfortable with, racists, communists, and environmental wackos, in other words, the core of the democratic party!
