Did Obama know of these things Jones said beforehand and was complicit in hiring him or did the administration not even bother to vet him and show negligence in the first place?...

Actually I believe it was both...poor vetting and -or- "foolishly" believing that he could manage to pull off this appointment without "serious" scrutiny.I'm sure he knew of some of his past statements and affiliations but to what extent is hard to say. It was a piss poor choice but I guess he's going to have to learn the hard way that the opposition is not nearly as gullible as he had hoped..

His supporters like "myself"... already knew he leaned left and that's why many of them voted for him!!! For me..he's a little too far to the left just like for some..Bush was a little too far to the right but they still voted for him.One could say that when you vote for a candidate it's a "package" deal. Your going to agree with some but not all of the candidates agenda.
