January 3, 2013 was Flake's last day in the House and his first day in the Senate, where he served until January 3, 2019.

What I am wondering is this: Why don't these centrist Democrats just tell Nancy Pelosi that they will not be with her on this one, since defying her cannot possibly be more harmful to them than defying their constituents would be?

That really seems like a simple enough equation for me.
If you're talking about Joe Manchin he has other agendas. He's neither centrist nor leaning. He's for what's best for Joe.

So if he conducted any campaign, after John McCain died, of attacking then-President Trump, it was certainly not from the Senate floor.
Jeff Flake left the Senate in 2019. He was a Congressman until 2013. Flake delivered multiple speechs attacking Trump from the Senate floor.

McCain's illness left him unable to perform his Senate and Flake ventriloquist duties some time before he died. Without McCain to cover for him Flake was exposed as a RINO never Trumper.

So in your mind is a real Republican a lying racist cruel b*stard? Because these men are the opposite of that.

Generally speaking, I did not despise John McCain (now, the late John McCain). He did, however, stir up my ire when he cast the fifth-first vote that saved ObamaCare.

I never did like Jeff Flake. I could see no redeeming qualities in him.

I voted for John McCain multiple times for Senate. Slow learner, I came to realize he was a Washington politician, campaign back home as a Conservative then vote with the Democrats. Long before Obamacare he was in favor of Democrat policies like amnesty for illegal aliens, NATO deadbeats being subsidized by the US taxpayer, and so-called free trade where China abused foreign businesses. He never seemed to understand the same Democrats that showered him with adulation for attacking Republicans would turn on him the moment it was politically advantageous.

Flake had nothing to offer other than serving McCain.

Dementia Joe killed both bills by crashing the caucus meeting. Everyone expected him to push for the immediate passage of the smaller bill and promise to push for reconciliation later but he instead pushed the loopy-lefty's chaining the two bills together.

Gone is any cover for "moderate" Republicans, 10 or more were predicted to come on board to pass the smaller bill that could be argued as necessary. Now those votes are gone and with them, any chance of passing it with the crazy socialist kooks refusing to vote for it.

Once again, Biden's ability to F things up shines brightly!

Let's hope that those crazy Dem's stay divided and both of these Marxist wet dreams die on the vine.
