Default 6 things we learned (or re-learned) about Mueller probe from Matthew Whitaker's testi

Despite the announcement of the Green New Deal said to require the greatest national effort since WW II the newly installed Democrat House majority decided to waste time badgering the acting AG over the fake news allegations that he might interfere with the Mueller witchhunt. In all likelihood the new AG will be confirmed this week but Democrats were unable to let this opportunity for meaningless partisan hatred before the broadcast cameras go by.

Quote:
Just days before he will leave the job, Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker spent hours Friday answering -- and not answering -- a flurry of questions from members of the House Judiciary Committee. The questions were all over the map, but primarily focused on Whitaker's role overseeing the special counsel probe into Russian interference being led by Robert Mueller.

The hearing was hugely confrontational, as Democrat after Democrat grilled Whitaker over his ascension to acting attorney general, his conversations about the ongoing investigation and his past comments as a private citizen about Mueller and the probe.
During the Democrat inquisition Whitaker unequivocally stated he had not discussed Mueller's lynching party with the President and affirmed that he had not denied any funding request from the special counsel. But Democrats demonstrated their dedication to attacking Trump by shifting their attack to the decision to appoint Whitaker. Never mind the DOJ activities enforcing Federal law, that is clearly outside the interest of oversight in the age of Democrat Resistance.

All Whitaker basically did the whole time was try to run out the clock. He was given a script. He followed it.
Greasy times.

Unlike the Democrats script. For a oversight committee hearing intended to discover or review the workings of the agency that Whitaker heads, they decided that they would do an impromptu confirmation hearing. It was nothing but a joke with the Democrats on the committee making complete fools of themselves. That seems to be their standard operating procedure at the moment.

Not just at the moment, the Resistance has been the Democrat first principal since Trump was elected. House Democrats claim they are concerned about the middle class, infrastructure, climate change, education and a whole host of issues but then spend their time in meaningless partisan savagery defending Mueller's jihad against the Trump administration against imaginary interference by the President.

I note the lack of any concern by Democrats over the perversion of Congressional oversight into a hate fest directed at the Trump administration. The display of Democrat after Democrat throwing childish tantrums insisting Whitaker must answer yes or no to their leading questions shows their real agenda is all about undermining the Trump Presidency no matter the cost.

I watched a lot of that hearing. It was painful to watch as committee rules were broken, time and again in spite of the objections by the Ranking member. It became such a joke that most of the Republican Committee members left for better uses of their time.
