however freedom of speech prevents most of those wishes from coming true.
Lieu's biggest mistake was giving foxnews the benefit that they prefer intelligent speech over childish out of context gotcha headlines.
"free" beacon indeed.
I would love it if speech Nazis like Lieu and others would get off their asses and move to a country able to meet their idiotic wishes. Get the hell out of America! I did not serve 20 plus years in the Armed Forces so that I could help guarantee that anti-Constitutionalists could get their way.

Then he should have chosen his words better.

Look If a cop is casing a suspect and says "I'd like to kill that guy". He's got a gun, a stick, (and in his mind) a motive and a badge for cover to get it done.
it's different than if some random person in conversation says it.

As a congressmen who was AT that moment discussing Censorship to say that he'd like to censor is, at the least, in POOR taste.
As a congressperson he has the means to get it done and apparently a motive.

In the light of Gov't and corporate regs and controls that are more and more unconstitutional, folks shouldn't be surprised that people are upset by random comments like that from legislators.

same thing When Trump does things like threaten to sue papers or ban reporters or shut down portions of the internet. These words coming out of the mouth of Gov't officials does NOT take on the tone of ... just idle chit chat or blowing off a little steam.
