Yeah, an anarchist that loves and respects the Constitution and demands duly elected officials (especially legislators) obey their oaths to Constitution.

Senator Murphy stood and swore:
I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.
The gun control agenda he is promoting is an affront to that oath.

And you celebrate it.

Who's the real anarchist?

Anti-gun people do not let a little thing like an oath get in the way of their gun confiscation agenda. Anti-gun cheerleaders worship the ground those scumbags poop on.

and regulation of guns has been upheld by a few different courts whose task it is to interpret the strict letter of the constitution.

The criminals are watching with intense eyes for the latest anti-gun laws, so that they don't overstep their bounds and make people angry.

There is no interpretation. It very clearly states it's intentions.

Only those that wish to find nuance where there is none, to rearrange a clear and concise statement, to fit their agenda, need an interpretation.

You don't need a baboon in a black robe to interpret the second amendment.

I'll give your post a comprehensive answer, not to show you any respect but to just ensure that nobody who reads your post believes it to be true.

Nearly all decisions sustaining gun control before Heller were reasoned on various permutations of the "collective right" interpretation. Those theories were invalidated by Heller. Those dozens of lower federal court decisions over 66 years have no legal foundation to support the holding of those courts. That means they are infirm and will be invalidated / overruled if challenged.

Those dozens of lower federal court decisions were also lazily relied on by many state courts to sustain their state laws under challenge (usually by states that had no RKBA provisions in their state constitutions, thus had never developed a sophisticated judicial record of defending challenged state law -- NJ, NY, MD, CA). Those state decisions are now fatally infirm and stand on no valid legal reasoning. NJ is a perfect example. Burton v Sills, 53 N.J. 86 (1968), upheld all the stupid crap Jersey makes their gun owners go through. That case specifically cited US v Tot to uphold the laws from 2nd Amendment challenge. US v Tot was invalidated by Heller so what is propping up Jersey's laws now?

Bueller? Bueller????

Most of those state court decisions backed up their lazy reliance on federal collective right opinions by affirming that even if there might be an individual right to keep and bear arms to be claimed and protected under the 2nd Amendment, the state law[s] at issue are not impacted because the 2nd Amendment has no effect on state laws. Of course the legal support for that argument was knocked out by the Supreme Court in McDonald when the 2nd Amendment was enforced against the states.

So, what is saltwn talking about?

Saltwn believes their comment brought a significant point into the discussion, rebutting my statement that Senator Murphy is actively violating his oath to support and defend the Constitution, bear true faith and allegiance to the Constitution and will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office, by exercising only the powers granted to the Senate.

Perhaps saltwn returns with some comment about the lower federal decisions handed down after Heller that were "wins" for gun control, I don't hold out much hope, scurrying away and ignoring rebuttal is the NOP.

Be sure, just like the 1942 lower federal court decisions that ignored and dismissed SCOTUS and inserted the "militia right" and "state's right" into the federal courts, these decisions twist and misrepresent Heller to arrive at a decision that stands in direct opposition to Heller and SCOTUS precedent.
