Most likely establishment Republicans will simply opt for go along, get along policies not challenging the Democrats.
Sadly, this is likely with the establishment GOP. The left need not worry about those bedfellows as they have historically collaborated with them since the New deal.

However, the Establishment does need to worry about new blood rocking their comfy basket. Hence the label "extreme" is so freely used on such firebrands and Ted Cruz and Rand Paul. Or frankly anyone who attempts to educate and legislate via the constitutional guidelines of our inalienable rights..

Here is what I will never understand, but it raises the point. Why do we call those who wish to limit the power of government by the word "extreme?" Why does both of the major parties, and the media, vilify those who would suggest the government relinquish back the power it has taken from the people via high taxes, mandates, and over reaching regulations?

What kind of professed freedom lovers allow a government to reduce their rights, their choices and their ability to be free in the expression of religious preference, privacy, property, persons, and the pursuit of happiness (Which by definition contemporary to our founding meant pursuit of wealth)? What is wrong with having a Senator who stands for that?

I'll believe it when i see it. these republicans like to talk a big game but when it comes times to vote they cave.

no new taxes
no raising the debt ceiling
I'm pro life
I'm pro traditional family
I want to 'read' the Constitution on the floor of the house"

blah blah
talk is cheap. there a lot of crap that needs rolled back,
But i don't see action.
I just hear more conservative campaign bs "jibberjabber"

Explain how?

You are aware the junior Senator Ted Cruz has little influence, much less authority, over what bills are argued on the floor of the Senate, right?

You might try to learn how the Senate works dearie.

Over two hundred bills have been passed by the House which now sit in Harry Reid's desk. If he will not bring them to the floor, the Senate cannot act on them and the work of the House, much of it bi-partisan, is obstructed. Please explain how the "star quality" of Ted Cruz is in any way responsible for that failure of the Senate to do it's duty.

Well I should have included the House teas in that. Between them they have not brought veto proof bills up. Not even close. They have passed some things but the media driven ones no.

Ultimately, Jenkins places all the blame on the Democrats and the Senate, but experts agree that it takes two to tango. Both parties and chambers have played a role in creating the current legislative dysfunction. On balance, we rate the claim Half True.

Anything to deny and defer from acceptance of the truth. Is that how we now hold people accountable? Here's how the system works. The majority leader sets up (or holds back) what bills are debated on the floor of the Senate. If Harry Reid does not allow it, it doesn't happen.

Only the electorate has the power to overrule Harry. And that is gonna happen today. Let us see how he handles his next few months in power before the villagers puts his arse out on the ice floe.

From the article you linked.

Quote:
Have 352 bills passed the House but await action in the Senate?

Basically, yes.
Of course polifarce goes on to make excuses for Harry Reid's intransigence such as the Senate is working on some bills beyond the control of Dr No. Anything to spin up a half true evaluation spin for Reid's hyper partisan destruction of the legislative process.
