see the republicans aim to divide us into groups. I refuse to have that happen to me. My husband is a vet and gets a small pension. So is my bnl. neither is losing anything and no one is hurt by this.

S/S COLA's were restored this year, 1.5% Yet your correct to say all of them are getting less. And who know if these COLA's will last into next year?

The right, dang woman the f____en Progressives came out shooting first or did you miss that to?

And understand this, all of DC and all of the 24/7 News groups call it like it is. As they now use "PROGRESSIVE" when talking about what was once Liberals.

Question:
Have you lost your benefits?

Yes lets cut more food stamps, etc from the poor while giving more to in subsidies to the corporations making record profits. That seems to be what the GOP members of congress seem to always want while protecting those that paid for their services.

It is on topic. The article and bill allude that there are cuts to Vets.

You who live in Kansas, my spouse living in Arkansas and my bro-n-law in Idaho have had no cuts.
So my point again is that I wish Republicans would quit trying to divide this country with word games. Saying vets are cut and they want to cut illegals to give it back is a headline many will take and run with not understanding the COLA isn't increased and there are no cuts to Vets. And the stupid f_ers will vote accordingly.

The cut is to future COLAs for younger military retirees including those with service related disabilities. It is typical Democrat dishonesty to claim there is no cut because next month's check will be unchanged.

Please explain why you'd rather have the Federal government pass out unearned checks to illegal aliens instead of giving a young disabled veteran her COLA.

Kindly point out the link to the proposal to cut food stamps to pay for restoring veteran's pension COLAs. It doesn't exist. The claim is the typical irrelevant polemic deployed in desperation by Democrats to divert attention from failed policies. Republican surrender monkeys like the ones that groveled in submission before voting to strip these veterans benefits in the name of compromise.

You ought to take note of the Federal government's bold manipulation of veteran's benefits for political ends, it has serious implications for your SS benefits. The false security of a Federal guarantee vanishes with the stroke of a politicians pen.

no because this is not an either or situation. Those vets need to fight for their rights as the Vietnam vets did. they are getting shafted on many things and if they dont get their heads out of their butts and do a little protesting they will end up with a hand full of what the little boy shot at.

Its the same as what a congressman suggested about unemployment taking the money from hungry kids to extend unemployment. Take it from the top or make it unfunded as was no child left behind but dont make it about water vs. food. thats just evil.
