Default Are Democrats backing the GOP into another government shutdown?

Well it looks like the two parties are going to go at each other again. The title seems to be more like a question. Yet the type below the picture speaks volumes.

And this is just part of the reason why I am done voting and have a bad taste in my mouth as I say eithers name.

Pelosi is ready to play hard ball.

After spending two months on the defensive over ObamaCare, Democrats are back on the attack. And with another budget deadline looming early in the new year, they're signaling that they're not about to let up — even it it means pushing Republicans toward another government shutdown.

Senate and House negotiators are working toward a reportedly small budget deal that would undo some of the sequester, across-the-board spending cuts that have taken a bite out of the economic recovery. But believing the odds are tilted in their favor, Democratic leaders have suggested they may insist that an extension of emergency unemployment benefits also be part of a final deal.

"We cannot, cannot support a budget agreement that does not include unemployment insurance," House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said at a Thursday hearing. "It would undermine who we are as a country."

Pelosi later walked back her firm stance, saying that though she would prefer unemployment insurance to be part of the deal, "it could be separate from that." But the hard line, and the actions of other leading Democrats, nevertheless stoked the notion that the party is willing to play hard ball.

On the same day, the White House released a report touting the economic benefits of an unemployment benefits extension, and President Obama said the same in his big income inequality speech one day prior. Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.), the party's ranking member on the House Budget Committee, directly compared the cost of an extension to the estimated $24 billion the economy lost during the last shutdown — hardly a subtle message.

A senior Democratic aide, meanwhile, told The Nation's George Zornick that the issue was "still very much in the mix" of the budget talks between Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.) and Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.).

The Reps. need to get ahead of this and make sure that they have proposals on the table first and make it VERY public, then make the Dems. refuse them and shut down the gov't. The Reps should be on the airwaves TODAY with their budget proposals and forcing the Dems to be the ones reacting.

There is no work together with Obama and the Democrats. It is amazing how true believers like Mikeyy can simply ignore unequivocal declarations by Obama and Democrats that their demand for a "clean CR" is absolute in favor of berating Republicans for intransigence.

Where is Obama's involvement in the negotiations he promised if he could just get the clean CR he wanted? Too busy with another barnstorming tour trying to resuscitate Obamacare. But don't worry he'll be leaving for his Hawaiian vacation soon so perhaps Biden can actually get something done like last year, no drama Obama indeed.

Harry Reid already made it crystal clear that the Dems have no interest in working together. It's time to force them back to the table, so that they can work together. We'd all love it if they would get their act together, but until they do, we have to have a plan that will put the pressure on the Dems. to return to the table.

I could pull more from this news yet your bring enough to understand this point.

So your novel idea as usual can be turned around and pointed to the Dem party.

And B-4 trying to debate me on this you have 2 other members to address first.

This is one time I think the Democrats and Republicans should just let the chips fall where they may. If the unemployment has run out --and it was extended at least once, and I did not disagree with that due to the initial bail outs--then what they and their employer paid in is exhausted and sometimes you just gotta move up, move on or learn a hard life's lesson.

.... salty I thank you for this wisdom placed in the above words..

And salty I would have to agree as this is part of my [let's say Christmas present desire] wish that all peoples can work toward an agreement on so many issues on this panet.

And it has to start some where as a wise man once said, "a family divided will fail." Or something to this effect.

In short, you are totally correct salty. And if the Dems [Progressives/Hard Core Left] would just step aside on this issue I am sure all that is needed will get done quite quickly. Plus both parties then can see that by doing this together their poll rating would start to climb from the low it is at now.

And I would then wish not one GOP member would say a thing except we can work togather to get the peoples work done. And not a word more.
