That can't happen until the Electorate decides to act like grownups. And with so many suckling at the public teat, that's not going to happen anytime soon, now is it?

Actually partner I had time with a full time job not related to reading bill on either the floor of the house or senate but it is their job to read it. As I stated they just draw the money and spend it on a staff that odds are do all the reading and writing of their opinions.

As for this one they had both of their leaders come in and go over the bill with the GOP having two meeting before the voted a full day after the Senate sent it over. They sure did a lot of bitching about it without reading it then. I say it is all BS as they had well over a year to get this done but waited to the last second and actually it should of been too late to act.

Even if this isn't true, you won't get much disagreement with over how absolutely sh-itty this Congress has been. I give credit to Speaker Boehner and President Obama for at least putting in an honest effort over the fiscal cliff. Reid, McConnell, Cantor, and Pelosi can go crawl in a hole somewhere for all I care, they all equally have been abysmal legislative leaders IMO.
