Why not just have a national license for a concealed gun? then we could eliminate all the others. Oh yeah........That would prob'ly not bode well with states that have it as they'd be losing out on the revenue from the licenses. Go figure. It always comes back to money.

Why not have a national license to attend church?
Sorry, but I just can't get behind needing a license to exercise a right.

I think you can in most states. You can here for sure.

Most states have outlawed it. I know it's illegal here. Then again, almost anyone can get a CC Permit here.

The rub here, is that it is perhaps several million times as pressing to get criminals to follow this guidline. Any ideas as to how? Myself, I'd simply argue that the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony ought to be a capital offense.

That seems kind of backward. Some people get nervous when they see others with guns (visitors). I tend to sit closer to the armed ones so we can concentrate the firepower.

Shouldn't the flip side be recognized as well?

What happened to all those "state rights" Republicans?

Carrying concealed is not a right, ergo it's not even in the same ball-park.
If we were talking about gun OWNERSHIP and permits / licenses, I would agree with "one state respecting another's permit / license" cause that DOES invoke a right.

Carrying concealed is not a right.
However, the REPUBLICAN HYPOCRISY on this issue is obviously very alive...

Funny you should mention that.
Like most rights, the right secured by the Second Amendment is not unlimited. From Blackstone through the 19th-century cases, commentators and courts routinely explained that the right was not a right to keep and carry any weapon whatsoever in any manner whatsoever and for whatever purpose. See, e.g., Sheldon, in 5 Blume 346; Rawle 123; Pomeroy 152–153; Abbott333. For example, the majority of the 19th-century courts to consider the question held that prohibitions on carrying concealed weapons were lawful under the Second Amendment or state analogues. See, e.g., State v. Chandler, 5 La. Ann., at 489–490; Nunn v. State, 1 Ga., at 251; see generally 2 Kent *340, n. 2; The American Students’ Blackstone 84, n. 11 (G. Chase ed. 1884).
DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA v. HELLER
The subject is the uniform treatment of CCW permit holders by states other than the one issuing the permit. Yes, Heller found that states could prohibit concealed weapons permits but left the treatment of permits issued by other states up to Congress.

Yup...

Funny how the Left (in general) believes a state should be required to say "We don't agree with your same-sex marriage laws in the state you come from, but we should be forced to accept it and acknowledge it.", but in the next breath declare "We don't agree with your permit process, so I hope you don't mind while we say "Go f**k yourself."...

It says the right to bear arms. It doesn't say anything about them being concealed and this is what it was about. Making concealed arms legal all over and not just in states where they can carry one.

It says the right to bear arms shall not be infringed. Passing laws telling me I can bear them this way but not that way is infringement.
Telling me how I can bear arms is now different than telling me how I can pray.
