I'm using it now and I am syncing my laptop files with it. I don't have any vital information on this PC that I'm afraid of sharing.
If I did (like forms for veterans affairs or bank accounts) I would not include them in the sync at this time. I will try to search for something more benign to check out security with.
The company was just getting started good when the world economy went spiraling downward. But I am sure, like Firefox browsers and accounting software, now that the concept (and a lot of perks) is up and running, the engineers will expand and make it better.
So far they have the same thing every desk top has [note: since they are in litigation/competition with Microsoft on several issues, you cannot use Microsoft applications. But they have created similar stuff for you to use.]

here's a screen shot of the desk top:

I searched the main search box for google search. Because I prefer it.
Yeah I will post updates as I go along. Maybe after I try accessing it from the Boise library.

I use Firefox--it already has a spellchecker built-in.

I won't surf without NoScript (and AdBlock Plus)--if IE had addons/plugins that made surfing safer I'd probably use it. I've been spyware/adware/malware free for 3 years since I've been using NoScript, and also get beta definitions for SpyBot Search and Destroy and immunize.

I screwed up!
I started this thread for updates on new software and gadgets. I was brain dead when I tried to think of a title for it. So "thingy" has always been my back up.
But it actually now contains several different subjects all relating to Internet "stuff" (my other back up word)

this download constantly asks for upgrade see my next post

Fire fox users can download this add-on to scramble keystrokes. encrypts your keystrokes at the kernel driver level to protect what you type from keyloggers.

clicking this link will start the downloadKeyScramblerclicking this link will start the download

protects everything you type into Firefox, including:

All login forms and dialogs, online shopping, webmail, forums, and more
The Firefox master password dialog
URL and search bar
Other Firefox add-ons and toolbars like RoboForm, Chatzilla, and Sxipper.

How It Works:
When you type on your keyboard, the keys travel along a path within the operating system before it arrives at your browser. Keyloggers plant themselves along this path and observe and record your keystrokes. The collected information is then sent to the criminals who will use it to steal from you.

KeyScrambler defeats keyloggers by encrypting your keystrokes at the keyboard driver level, deep within the operating system. When the encrypted keystrokes reach your browser, KeyScrambler then decrypts them so you see exactly the keys you've typed. Keyloggers can only record the encrypted keys, which are completely indecipherable.

Nice find. how do it? I am to busy to keep up with the CJ online and here.. And security/maintance of the PC's..

I got to remember to come back on the other PC and use F.F. Better write it down... It also allows install on IE. So I shall play with it B-4 installing on the desk top..Got to see who wrote it. Scotty the watch doggie say a new program Run once will start... And it wants to restart the PC which I have avoided till shut down. it also wants to install in Program Files. Just left click on where Program Files is and remove it so it installs in C:/.... I never install in Program Files as it is much easier on the PC to remove from the C: drive than out of Program Files.

This download has issues. It constantly asks for an upgrade. You may want to wait until the company has resolved that. Last year when I used it it was cool as heck. I still have it installed but just to monitor for awhile and write a review-as this company does take user input seriously.
