Okey this is a bit different.... Check it out for yourselves before you place this small yet useful PC security tool on your PC. LINKS included.

If you forget to update any of your apps/Windows this is for you. I have been using PSI 2.0 for years and they just updated it to PSI 3.0.

Free computer security

Stay secure by updating insecure programs on your computer with the Secunia Personal Software Inspector (PSI)

Secunia PSI 3.0 is a free computer security solution that identifies vulnerabilities in non-Microsoft (third-party) programs which can expose PCs to attacks. Simply put, it is scanning software which identifies programs in need of security updates to safeguard the data on your PC against cybercriminals. It then supplies your computer with the necessary software security updates to keep it safe. The Secunia Personal Software Inspector (PSI) even automates the updates for your insecure programs, making it a lot easier for you to maintain a secure PC. Using a scanner like Secunia PSI 3.0 is complementary to antivirus software, and as a free computer security program, is essential for every home computer.

Learn more about PSI in these short videos: AT THE 1st. SITE below, Or the You Tube LINK Below...

Secunia PSI is one of 6 Super Security Freebies. Click here Or read more. At 1st LINK below.

“Secunia PSI won't do away with the need to run a good antivirus program and firewall on your PC. But it provides a solid layer of free protection that no PC should do without”.

“Number one is the Secunia Personal Software Inspector, quite possibly the most useful and important free application you can have running on your Windows machine”.

Hi it is me again, as it is UPDATE time with M$ & Mac's.

It is simple you should have gotten a notice in your in box, if you have signed up for any notifications.

It has been so long I can't remember if thats how it works. So if you saw a Update notice in your e-mail in box, click it.

Quote:
Go to the complete update link, left click it. Then left click the "Affected Software and Download Locations", it has a little box to the left of it as all from now on will have...

Select the first of these. And find your OS in the next page to come up.
Below, in most cases you will need only the first two conponents which I placed in BOLD...

Yet do check all of these if you have a decent fast PC.

Windows Operating System and Components
Microsoft Office Suites and Software

Microsoft Server Software
Microsoft Office Web Apps
Microsoft Developer Tools and Software

On my Vista I had 7 updates but I run a 32 Bit set up. And each one wanted to restart after it installed, you can do each one by going back and starting over & installing each one this way, then do a restart.

I did the critical ones and restarted after each one was installed, then did the 5 and then restarted.

As one doesn't want a messed up critical install. Good Luck and be patient as each one is very important to you.
