It took me 20 minutes to access my email, and then when I opened an email, swiping the screen to scroll down to READ emails didn't work except intermittently, and using the display to scroll down had the same problem. Each time I tried to use the Chrome browser, it crashed, but it was working fine on my PC, so it wasn't a problem with the internet connection.
Then I decided to install the android version of Waterfox, which I have on my laptop (the PC version, though), and was told it wasn't compatible with my device. GRR.
So I'm wondering why all the problems now and if my tablet became obsolete. Should I trash it, or is there something else I can try?

I may have told this story before, but a few months back, my 6 year old android phone needed a reboot, not unusual, every few weeks it would lock up and a reboot would do the trick. Except this time, it didn't come back up. Everything lost.
Off to Verizon for a new phone $600 something later. Then two, maybe three weeks later, spouse's 6 year old phone does the exact same thing.... hmmmm.
Thinking likely, Verizon sent out a 'bullet', and down went certain phones. After all no profit to be had if people aren't buying new phones.
Maybe the same thing with your tablet, would not be surprised at all.
