salty, I took your advise and went for the free trial.. And hoping to resolve the listed issues I set a new Restore Point cause there are 5 redundant programs and 3.64 GB of crap I still fail to locate, plus several other issues need to be resolved.

And guess what I ran the "Clean Up" app and found the items then selected to Resolve all..

And it selected the new page BUY ME...

So all I got was a new install of the free trial of Avast which is 1.6 GB on the install and it's FIREWALL, which is nice...

I guess there is free lunches... , and still

Edge Windows 10 has the option that clears everything once you exit.
I like that.

I don't know if previous versions of Windows ever did.
I always went up in the Internet Options with XP and Vista, then had to click the appropriate bar.

they did as you noted. I remember IE 7 my first used browser and I had all of these tips printed out. And that was on the older (always crashing) dang what was before XP?

Even in the new Edge one has to go thru hoops set it to get it to delete history and temp files.

Well 25 days into the FREE trial period of Avast Internet Security I was impressed enough to to buy it at the discounted price of $19.99 + tax.. Once a while ago one could buy online and never pay any taxes... Well that free lunch has ended...

My one complaint is that one can't run a scan and have the Avast Scanner shut the PC down once the Antivirus scan is completed. Norton does and I like it that way...

So I also got the Avast FREE Trial of Clean Up Utility... And I was a bit worried that so much was to be cleaned/deleted.. 3.5 GB worth of crap. In 18 places. Plus 11 more locations which also included apps adjusted to run better, 5 Browser Add On deleted and some registry items deleted...

Yea getting rid of all this junk will make the PC operate faster it said.

My worry was that much crap deleted is kind of harsh on a PC.. So I did a restore point between the first part and then again for the later. And after the restart problems.. But the PC isn't any faster either.

Yet I now know inside of my PC is all and shinny.
