Default Which is the best browser?

I've been using Firefox for years, but several weeks ago it started crashing, and I'm sick of it. It's become a daily thing. Someone told me Firefox partnered with Google and that's causing it, but I don't know.

I don't trust Big Brother Google, so is there a good browser that can replace my frequently-crashing Firefox, or is there something I can do to prevent it from crashing?

chrome is good but if you're worried about security and like a built in ad blocker that is super easy try Avast Safe Zone browser.
There is one function I can't get on there. The google phone is messed up. B ut I go ahead and open FF for that then return for all else.

IMO, it's Chrome, but that's only "currently"...

The true answer is "It changes from time to time"...

It seems that every time a browser upgrades, it conflicts with some other program, and the four positive changes don't outweigh the five negative ones, so another browser takes the lead...

Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Opera are all awesome in their own ways. Trick is finding out which one works best for your personal tastes.

I use Chrome and occasionally I just dump it and then reload it. Used Firefox years ago when they first turned into Mozzila. And I used it for a long time back when Internet Explorer was around and screwing everything up In he end I do suggest dumping and reloading. And then see how it works.

Chrome to me seems the most stable at the moment. Really that or Firefox are good bets.

Ditto.
I like Chrome but over time it can be a bit of a memory hog. But it's worth it with a little maintenance.
Admittedly, most of my problem is I can easily have a couple dozen tabs open at a time...

Other ideas on maintenance...
Why Chrome Uses So Much Freaking RAM

I've never had Firefox crash.
It does give a warning in the task bar that it's updating, then when you click to update (sometimes not) your window will temporarily go down, then come back up again.
Of course I am running a different Windows than most of you.
Vista 64 bit.

I've had some problems with Firefox. Right now I've got Edge, Firefox, and Chrome loaded and after trying all three, went back to Chrome.
