Default 8 Things Not to Keep in Your Wallet

I have posted items like this before, yet reminders are always a good idea. And this one is more complete.

And between each item listed below is a few words giving extra info & instructions, so do go to the site as it isn't that long of a read..

8 Things Not to Keep in Your Wallet

By Emily Inverso | Kiplinger – Mon, Jul 9, 2012 1:00 PM. Posted 15 July 2012 ...

That overstuffed wallet of yours can’t be comfortable to sit on. It’s probably even too clunky to lug around in a purse, too.

And with every new bank slip that bulges from the seams, your personal information is getting less and less safe. With just your name and Social Security number, identity thieves can open new credit accounts and make costly purchases in your name. If they can get their hands on (and doctor) a government-issued photo ID, they can do even more damage, such as opening new bank accounts. These days, con artists are even profiting from tax-return fraud and health-care fraud, all with stolen IDs.

[More from Kiplinger: How to Protect Your Identity, Finances If You Lose Your Phone]

We talked with consumer-protection advocates to identify the eight things you should purge from your wallet immediately to limit your risk in case your wallet is lost or stolen.

And when you’re finished removing your wallet’s biggest information leaks, take a moment to photocopy everything you’ve left inside, front and back. Stash the copies in a secure location at home or in a safe-deposit box. The last thing you want to be wondering as you're reporting a stolen wallet is, “What exactly did I have in there?”

1. Your Social Security Card...

2. Password Cheat Sheet

3. Spare Keys

4. Checks

5. Passport Or like me the wallet card that comes with one.

6. Multiple Credit Cards I carry a debit card I use only as a credit card, I don't even know if I have a pin number. Plus it is in a seperate account which I place $ in when I need to.

7. Birth Certificate

8. A Stack of Receipts

Sorry Mikeyy but I can't read anything you post. As I told you yesterday evening.
I never thought I would have to do this with you but you made it plain your not a friend and that statement just blew me away.
But then some on the left even while placing a can be very harsh, and it was in a thread about Death Panels to boot. your so callous.

And the a**roid, was just "android" but I wanted you to think about it... So I use that to draw your attention, rest well Mikeyy.

Actually, you should never carry a condom in your wallet... Just saying. The rubbing and friction that comes with everyday wallet use will prematurely weaken the condom and make it much more likely to fail.

, Yes I believe your correct. I know as I did at a time when I was much younger did carry one in my wallet, which I forgot about as I had a few in my glove compartment.

The one time while camping out with friends and my soon to be wife (because it ripped near the tip) the car was 2,000+ feet down a steep old Indian trail and it was dark, so I used it.

About 6 months later I had 3 years of bliss and 4+ of pain... And a divorce.

Getting married because one thinks it is the honorable thing to do when you get a women (this case a 19 year old) isn't always the right thing to do if she become pregnant..

Believe me...

I would also suggest you don't carry fishing bait in your wallet.
