Well, nothing worked. I had to reset the time again.

You are not the only person with a problem. The other night, an hour after going to sleep, (and after turning the computer off as I do every single night) it switched itself on, and the Windows four-note jingle woke me up. There is no way I would have turned it on in my sleep. Neither would there be any other reason. The on switch is on the monitor as it is a processor within the monitor (just a monitor and keyboard and mouse, nothing else). It freaked me out a bit.

Actually, I think FS is right.

If you're running anything before XP, you're screwed.

If you're running XP, Download: Update for Windows XP (KB931836) - Microsoft Download Center - Download Details should be the answer.

If you're running anything after XP, you likely have a virus and should get your computer fixed and upgrade to 7.

I have had some paranormal experiences, but never when I am asleep! Also I know who the deceased person is. This was very strange.
