Wi fi Interferes With DTA Box
Linksys Wifi Interferes With Suddenlink cable DTA Box
Suddenlink gives out these little DTA boxes for older TV owners and it seems that the Wi fi router interferes with it by dstorting the image and sound. My mother got two of them, one for her and dad's bedroom and their living room. It's always my job to hook stuff up for them. The instructions doesn't allow for running the DTA through a VCR so you could record programming so when we did that the pixilating began frequently. I asumed it was the wifi signal going through the old skinny coaxial linked from the VCR and the TV so I replaced it with the coaxial that came with the extra from their bedroom DTA. That seemed to solve the problem only for a while. So I took the VCR out of the equasion and set it up per instructions DTA to TV to cable. That worked for a while too. But the pixliation and sound interuption started again..even reacting to wifi activity matching keystrokes on the laptop keyboard. These DTA's are a piece of junk if you have wifi. Yeah, the TV is only nine years old and they don't believe in replacing something that still works great. Is there a DTA that won't react to Wi fi signals or a router that won't interfere with a DTA?
