NFL:

How is your team doing?

Are you surprised, disappointed? Have the exceeded expectations or failed them?

Niners: Huge disappointment. They have completely regressed and have failed even legitimate (mine are never legitimate) expectations.

Well, the Chargers stumbled out of the gate, but have won their last three. It is a long season.

I've had a rough year. First the Bears lose to the Colts, then the Bulls lose to the fucking Pistons, then the Cubs lose to the Diamondbacks, and now the Bears suck, whatever.

Hey man, the Padres choked at the end of the season. That's all we have: The Chargers and the Padres. We have no indoor teams.

Man!...:

3 plays different and the Eagles could be 6-1 instead of 3-4...Muffed punts; overthrows...

Only one team BEAT the Eagles so far this year...The Eagles beat themselves the other 3...

The Chargers could have beaten the Packers last month. They were no match for New England, and Kansas City outplayed them, too. Since then, the Chargers beat Denver, Oakland, and Houston in succession.

The Boys are doing quite well this year, thank you.

And the propects for future success just got brighter as they've signed Tony Romo to a long-term contract.

On the down side, they'll most likely be missing the services of offensive co-ordinator Jason Garrett next year and that'll be a huge loss which might affect their performance. His play-calling is downright brilliant. The best I've seen in years.

Steelers are 5 and 2 and for one of the games we lost both Ward and Polamalu were on the bench. The new head coach seems to be a good match, and the team looks good--better than last year with Big Ben struggling after his accident and appendectomy.

Who are the Pirates?

Penguins--yawn.

the Chargers, in their badness at the begininng stunned me the most. Then the niners were exposed.

That damned Turner left us in the lurch and I hope that he ruins that franchise because he sure as hell ruined the niners by leaving so late in the hiring season.
