Well, the Chargers was looking for a coach like Turner. A man like Turner would like to be a head coach again.

In the Spanos' era, we had some good coaches (Don Coryell, Bobby Ross, Schottenheimer, and Turner), and we had some bad coaches (Al Saunders, Dan Henning, Kevin Gilbride, and Mike Riley).

Before the Spanos family came along, the Chargers had Sid Gilman, Charlie Waller, Gilman again, Harland Svare (among the worst we had), Ron Waller (no relation), Tommy Prothro (who rebuilt the Chargers), and Don Coryell.

I never thought I would owe Jessica Simpson anything.

But if she distracted Romo long enough to make sure that my Packers have the easier job of beating the Giants instead of the Cowboys to get to Phoenix (deep breath)... then I say, thank you Jessica Simpson.

Yesterday's paper said that a high of 15 degrees was predicted for Sunday's game. Overnight, it was revised to 16 degrees, with a wind-chill factor of -4. Well, one degree more helps.

Practice this week is going to be kind of hard with Rivers and L.T. having to miss it, but they should be ready to play.

Boy, I didn't think that Owens would cry over Romo yesterday (my quarterback????) .

If we all thought that the Cowboys were America's team, then Jessica Simpson did us a favor by helping them lose. I should enjoy watching the Packers after the Chargers on Sunday.
