I'm pretty sure that these fires are in So-Cal drylands that have never been wetlands for as long as recorded history.

Pretending like the LA area was once wetlands is kinda like pretending Mao...

Do you know why the CA redwood trees grow so massive and for so long?
It's because redwoods 'poison' the soil around them. Other plants that would make good fuel for a fire find it hard to live in...

That is only partly true. The environmentalists do what they can to prevent the state from doing "controlled burns" which can remove some of the fuel (tinder, underbrush) when an accidental fire...
