The points I'm making in this thread aren't mutually exclusive to that; IOW, one can hold to both.
But some people here apparently want to pretend cultural morality today aren't HUGELY...

That middle eastern culture's morality has been shaped by IT, just as ours has by Christianity. Why would I think it any differently?

Yes it has, because much of the morality we have in our culture today comes from RELIGIOUS culture. And even today, atheists are vastly the MINORITY.

You do, in that you've been influenced by culture which does. Therefore even the atheist's morality is under the influence of the concept of absolutes. (or rather 'agnostic', in your case.)
