Re: is Abortion against Blacks genocide?

It's possible (that 50% of black pregnancies are terminated).
A quarter of all pregnancies in the US end in abortion, and blacks abort at a higher rate than whites.

Blacks also reproduce at a...

Re: Abortion Workers Admit Fetus=Baby

Adoptive couples go abroad because they want traditional closed adoptions, which are no longer the norm in domestic adoptions. Since the nineties, nearly all domestic adoptions are either open or...

Re: Is Alaska the Worst State in the Nation for Women?

Well, from what I understand, it's the state with the highest male to female ratio. Under the circumstances, a high rate of violent crime is pretty much expectable.
It is also the state with the...

Re: Abortion Workers Admit Fetus=Baby

I don't believe that every fertilized egg needs to become a person. I feel it is the responsibility of women to choose carefully... not because of the gravity of ending a pregnancy, but because of...

Re: Abortion Workers Admit Fetus=Baby

I agree. The decision to end two of my pregnancies was a no-brainer. The decision to have children- especially the first one, when I was fifteen- was much tougher and more fraught with emotion.

Re: Windham school officials drop dodgeball

As a child, I was small for my age, weak, and not good at any sports.
But I always liked dodgeball. It was fun and exciting. I never got hurt playing it.
We only used those red rubber kickballs;...

Re: Abortion Workers Admit Fetus=Baby

Well, I deliberately conceived my latest baby.
So I guess that doesn't count as "siding with" prolifers. Thank God.
I know what an aversion they have to women being the captains of their own...

That, and better access to abortion.

Re: Cheating

Jabbo, do you think that cheating in a relationship is harmless as long as the other person doesn't find out? Are there reasons not to do it, in your opinion, besides not wanting to hurt your...

Re: Police officers and trans people

Police officers need more cultural sensitivity training in general.
They also need to learn that medical problems- from diabetes to schizophrenia to Alzheimers- are sometimes responsible for erratic...

Re: Women's gender roles, gay men, society

I think some women are insecure and allow society to define their roles for them. But it is possible- more than possible- to just say no.
I've always been a teeshirt/jeans/hoodie/converse kind of...

Re: Cheating

My husband and I had an "open" relationship for the first... I don't know how many years. Maybe five or six. This was at my insistence- I had just gotten out of a youthful first marriage and did not...

Re: What is the weather like where you are?

It's been windy and clear here, cool in the mornings and warm in the afternoons.
It's supposed to thunderstorm on Friday, and then through the weekend. Until then, the weather should be rather...

Re: Racial Equality

I would propose that since Jim Crow laws were still in effect within many of our lifetimes, while blacks may have lived "in our country" geographically speaking, in every sense that matters they have...

Re: What Kind Of Pope Are We Looking For?

Ironic; everyone who has responded so far has done so with a joke, yet you choose to address only Mikeyy's post.

On the topic, I'd like to see a young (or at least not elderly) pope, who is...

Re: Seth MacFarlane and the Oscars’ Hostile, Ugly, Sexist Night

I never liked that aspect of Family Guy anyway.
Family Guy is complex- funny on several levels- about three of which probably go over the average viewer's head.
It sounds like his Oscar shtick was...

Re: Your Health Problems . . .

You're thin, though. At least you appear to be in your pics. Thin people are less prone to illness in general.

Re: Your Health Problems . . .

I recall you were having chest pains a few months ago, weren't you? I assume that turned out to be nothing serious, since I never heard anything else about it. I was concerned.

Let's see... it appears to be clear and coolish this morning.

On the other hand, check out how the sky looked yesterday:

Re: One Day at a Time mom dies at 69

Considering how "rare" pancreatic cancer supposedly is, a lot of celebs seem to be dying of it lately.

As far as I can tell, the primary risk factors for pancreatic cancer are smoking, obesity,...

Re: Seth MacFarlane and the Oscars’ Hostile, Ugly, Sexist Night

Regardless of how terrible the state of the world is at any given time, art has always been important to the human race, including the performing arts.
Women are major contributors to the arts, and...
