HI Esmee,

Could you post more of the text?

Re: The Deep Fraternal Affection between the 2 Brothers

Is called familial love.

And it's a shame that in general, families have moved away from it.

Yes, there are idiots everywhere who don't have good control over their weapons. I hope the kid recovers completely.

Re: A wedding ceremony in the heavy rain

Liked her secretly is close enough. I can't think of another phrase.

If the marriage starts this way and survives the first day, I'd expect a long and fruitful life together.

Re: Woman who failed NYC fire department running test six times given seventh chance

Give me a break! I'm 65 and I can run or walk that distance in less time than 12 minutes. The message is not that women are inferior. The message is that weenies want to keep giving other weenies...

Re: A woman adopted a stray dog but the dog bit her daughter

Death from the rabies virus is very rare in US. Infected animals are raccoons, bats, fox, and other wildlife but not cats and dogs.
This is an awful situation. The doctors at the hospital...

Re: A little wondering how you'll comment this piece?

The first thing I saw when I got off the train in Brooklyn to meet a friend was a man peeing against a wall across the street. Maybe if a cop had been around he would have been arrested, but I don't...

Re: How about these dresses?

That's different. I like the nature ones with the green leaves, but don't care for the windows or sneakers dresses.

Re: Tragic image of drowned Syrian toddler highlights human cost of refugee crisis

If it is true, a photo by the rocks would be more powerful, in my opinion.

Esmee, 20,000 people drowned like this last year, and thousands so far this year. It could have been the same boy, or...

Re: Thank you, American.

Now that some of China's economy looks better, maybe that practice will change.
But meanwhile, if a brother human can help, why not? Some have too many, some not enough. Might as well share burdens...

Re: Why is Greece in trouble?

THE GREEK BAILOUT EXPLAINED
It's a slow day in a little Greek Village. It is raining and the streets are deserted. Times are tough, everybody is in debt, and everybody lives on credit.

On this...

Re: I saw 2 little wild boars at the foot of the hill behind my school

Be glad they are small in size. We have a real problem in the U.S. with wild hogs. They destroy crops and cause terrible erosion when they move into an area. They have moved north from southern...

Re: I saw 2 little wild boars at the foot of the hill behind my school

A lot of people here call Javelinas wild pigs. A javelina a peccary but they really aren't pigs.

I could catch a glimpse one in awhile of one at a place I guarded years ago. There were also...

Re: I saw 2 little wild boars at the foot of the hill behind my school

You spelled it right. I haven't seen a javelina in a while but I used to see them all the time. They run in packs. Pretty harmless to people, but don't leave a kitten or puppy outside or they are...

Re: I saw 2 little wild boars at the foot of the hill behind my school

You were lucky to get such a clear photo, since it looks like it was taken at night. I live in a rural area, and we don't have wild boars here, but we have lots of other critters: turkeys, raccoons,...

Re: It's heavy rain here.

Esmee, as a farmer in the middle of the US we have much the same lately. Just as the land is getting dry enough to farm, it rains once again. Sunshine and dry weather are hard to come by here lately....

Re: Boy, 11, Plays Basketball in Own Yard as He Awaits Delayed Parents. Cops Take Him

I'm guessing there is a lot more to this. We're only getting one side of the story here and from an advocacy site at that. No name, case number, or specific location meaning none of the story can be...
