If theat technology can be developed for fridges and air conditioners, it could drop the nation's electric needs significantly.

The key (as in most things) is "feasability...

Just because something can be done doesn't mean in can be done at a good price or worth the effort...

Agreed.

Even if it's proven, other factors come into play...

Electric cars have been around for years...but you can't go more than a few miles without a recharge...I've even seen an aiplane change into a car and a car change into a boat...

That's "nice" and all, but it's not enough to get the public to back them...

They say it uses a "fully environmentally friendly power source".

Remember the old propane refrigerators? They didn't use any electricity.

I'm very suspicious of this article. I think either the spin doctors wrote this, or something got lost in the translation from Danish.

I hope my suspicions are unfounded and this turns out to be a real breakthrough!

Granted I am that eternal optimist everyone talks about.
But within the human brain there really is a universe waiting to be discovered.
I just can't believe there aren't tons of people digging out old patents and brainstorming new ides to solve this oil and pollution problem.
Here's hoping along with you. (And that i live past 2010 to see if this is on the market yet! )
