I'm a long time IE and Avant browser fan but I must admit, this version of Firefox is excellent. I have been using it all day and it seems to be very stable!

It has already been beta tested and it's only a browser not an OS...

Believe me,I'm very loyal to IE and Avant and once absolutely HATED Firefox but not anymore! While it is true the FF is not part of the windows os and therefore initially loads slower,I find that FF3 renders pages faster and uses less system resource.Individual experiences may indeed vary but FF3 is going to give IE some serious competition.

I've been a FF user for awhile now. Been waiting for the new version. There are a few add-ons I had previously that aren't compatible yet, but nothing I can't live without at this time and I suspect they'll release updates on those soon.

I've had trouble with IE from day one on my Sony (new last April). One of the add ons I want to get back is Fasterfox. Loads unbelievably fast. So I was disappointed when a pop up indicated the new browser didn't support it yet.
But so far it loads pretty fast anyway. I guess its all in what PC you have and your individual taste.
I just can't stand IE, though. Just my own experience w/ it has not been good.

I got a brand new mac book pro with bells and whistles and so far FF3 is working great. I just got to figure out all the tweaks on the 'puter as well as withh FF3.

I Never liked IE. That browser is a burdensom POS IMHO even on my old vista machine. On that machine I used FF.

So far FF-3 has been extremely stable and uses a tad less ram than IE. You will have to wait for some of the extensions to be updated but that's to be expected.I use the colorful tabs extension and that has been updated.
