Funny, there were studies on caffeine and nicotine in relation to Alzheimer's that pointed to the fact that a fraction of smokers and coffee drinkers develop the disease compared to nons.
But in the last stages of COPD (if you live to the last stage) there is lack of O2 to the brain.

I quit on my birthday. 12 years ago. I new I had wanted to quit. So when the day came. I woke up and my first thought was, Do I quit today or tomorrow? I new I was already starting to fail. And that ticked me off. And then I got made at the tobacco companies for pimping the cigarettes with drugs to make it more addictive. And to tell you the truth I think my anger at them gave me the determination. And it actually made it easier. Use what works for ya.

If thats is the answer Mikeyy I guess I will start quiting on the day I die.
I never smoked till the Nam and I have tried about 6 times. Even putting an open pack in the tray in church and praying etc., I can't. But and there is always a butt. lol The closest I came was about 4 months the last year before my wife died. But the boy was rasing so much trouble I nearly left. So I bought a pack and drove home. Now I don't care. I just want to live 3 + years to see my grand-daughter in N.J. She will be 18 then and her mom/grandma (my blood daughter and scorned ex wife) can't stop it then. |
