Default New Theory to replace Big Bang Theory

Well if one theory isn't your belief, then try a new Theory...

The Big Bang never happened - and there might be traces of an earlier universe, scientist claims

Rob Waugh, Yahoo News UK•November 28, 2017

For nearly half a century, the Big Bang theory has been accepted by many as the best explanation for how the universe began.

But what if it was wrong – and the universe’s current expansion was actually preceded by an earlier phase, and there are still traces of that ‘previous’ universe?

Brazilian physicist Juliano Cesar Silva Neves of the University of Campinas says, ‘I believe the Big Bang never happened.’

not that much "new" to this article.
The guy is talking about a cyclic universe theory

But in general, there are a a fair # of scientist who don't believe the big bang every happened ...for many reasons.

one of the commenters in the article sums up a pretty standard, while still somewhat open, big bang POV reply.

The question has always been one of density: does the universe possess sufficient matter/energy density to halt expansion and draw the universe back to a singularity? So far, the answer is clearly no: the universe's rate of expansion is accelerating, not slowing, and even counting dark matter there is nowhere near the density needed for a cyclical universe.
2) The current model of the Big Bang does allow for a pre-existing universe: our universe could have been the result of a quantum aberration in a massive part of an earlier universe. The idea is that a relatively small amount of mass and energy could be turned into a whole universe thanks to a special field called an inflation field. That field would generate massive expansion, and that expansion would in turn create vast amounts of energy that would turn into particles to populate that universe.
3) The Big Bang Theory is not a finished product. It's a good idea, the best one we have, but it is far from perfect. We honestly have no clue how physics looks at the distances and energies that would have been present in the earliest stages of the universe, and until we have a solid quantum theory of gravity, all we can do is guess. What started the 'bang'? Did anything exist 'before' our universe? If there was a singularity, where did it come from?
Important and unanswered questions about the theory, so there's no harm in someone questioning it or arguing its validity. In fact, that's the duty of every cosmologist and particle physicist: try to prove it wrong.
As i mentioned in the previous there are scientist that reject the big bang outright for many reasons.
some opting for an "eternal universe" others a created universe.

Quantum Equation Suggests The Big Bang Never Occurred – The Universe Has No Beginning

a few of the problems with the big bang are 1st of all "the singularity". The term itself is basically a scientific version of the word "miracle". There is NOTHING in physics as we know of it that can explain the forces that could hold or start the initial explosion. There's no "science" to explain it. But the Bang has to start somewhere, so they MAKE UP a scenario that does not conform to ANY known physics and call it a SINGULAR event because it does NOT follow follow known physic... it's magic or ...a miracle.

Another problem is "Inflation", If i understand it somewhat correctly, it basically says that at various points in the early universe matter and energy and everything where traveling at faster than light speed in the explosive expansion.
But faster than light speed travel is thought to be impossible NOW but somehow it happened THEN during "early periods" .
This Idea is somewhat taken for granted in the big bang theory but again it breaks known concepts of physics. And even the person that came up with the significant portions of the idea of inflation now questions whether or not it really happened or could work.

Those are just a 2 of several issues, out of the gate, that make plenty of scientist skeptical that science has any GOOD ideas concerning the origin of the universe.

Here are some of the Failed scientific predictions of the Big Bang

a- The Big Bang predicts that the universe should have a lot of magnetic monopoles.
Fail. there are none found in the universe.

b- The Big Bang predicts that the universe's microwave background should be different than it is.
Fail. the observed microwave background is asymmetrical and there are problems with the tempture. the big bang model could not have caused whats observed.

c- The Big Bang predicts that the universe should have a deep curve of some kind.
Fail. the observed universe is flat. what we observe is mathematically impossible if the big bang is true.

those are considered fatal flaws

It also predicts that the universe should have as much anti-matter as matter.
Fail. they've been looking for it and have basically concluded it anti-there.

It appears as time moves forward many predictions made years before seem to bear fruit.
As younger knowledgeable persons of Science bring new ideas as they enter research projects...

............. Something to consider.. ......

mr wonder I believe you might secure a contract with one of the many branches of science in this arena. .....................

I think I'll just stand on the sidelines and cheer the good science plays and complain about poor plays and bad calls.

Watching the game from an armchair is a lot easier than actually playing

.............. So true.. I love reading you're posts as well as a few others on the sciences,
one of the reasons I enjoying posting news as such.. ...
