I like that first line, PRIVATELY FUNDED.
I had my reservations about the U.S. giving up on the space shuttle, but if we can get to space by using private money then I am all for it.
Of course according to liberals we can't get to oil Independence without first throwing money at failing green companies......

SpaceX with its Dragon rocket, is the privately funded aero-space company in Los Angeles I posted about, just forgot its name. The Dragon now has the contract to provide supplies to the international space station, and is working on another rocket which will carry human's into outer space. The company owner is very young, and already has invested about $5 million dollars of his personal fortune in SpaceX, which appears to be America's answer to the elimination of the space shuttle program. He tried to purchase one of Russia's old nuclear ICBM rockets, but developed SpaceX when the Ruskies wanted $100 million for just one ICBM. Using private money now, but allowing for NASA assistance and use of Cape Canaveral's launch site, is the way to go back to space, the moon, another space station, possibly even a space colony on the moon. As a species, we have to move beyond earth's small dimension's to survive, otherwise, either an Ice Age, or major climate change or overpopulation and hunger will eliminate the human race in the future. I am all for SpaceX.
