I have heard that saying before.

For a lot of women it is about 'the chase.' They like to be chased and like to know that men are chasing them. It is a game for them. When they finally give in, after a while they become bored and want the game to start, either with their current man or someone else.

I suppose there are some who need conflict (for that is what this is) for the emotional reaction.

They are the same ones who live for the Reality shows, and the latest edition of The National Enquirer.

Then there is the rest of us.

There are some who have had bad experiences, both men and women. Some also gravitate to those who are no good for them - it is like they are on a self-destruct mode and don't feel they deserve happiness. Then you get the game-players. Then there are others who feel like is too solid and boring in a normal relationship. People are complex when it comes to relationships, and the longer the years of messing about, the worse it is for them to find something normal. Life is way too complicated nowadays.

That whole study makes no ****ing sense. They must have been using unbalanced, game playing, drama queens for it. No woman I know of is "happy" when their partner is upset. That's just insane.

Absolutely. It is only game-players who would feel happy if their partner is upset.
