I think you cant really say who likes/enjoys what, because everyone has their own opinions. Some people like the negative, some people like the positive. Some people like both, some could care less about either.

There are many business that make their money knowing who & how to target certain segments of our society.....

How many magazine can you think of that are popular & focused on the positive?? DunnO, seems to me, dirt, scandal, sex etc.... & the more of that you can put in a story they better it will sell...........

Take out a stupid book like Twilight, and the whole world wants to buy it.

While "My Neighbor Totoro" is so...unknown...trully a tale with no antagonist, or evil.

We are used to reading negative articles. It's almost all that the news reports.
I think in real life, younger people like to find negative things about oldsters who at this point are all a bit wiser and wanting to pass on knowledge in a way their parents did thinking it will be appreciated.
And most youngsters could care less.
Although there's the rare one.
That encourages me to press on.
