I joined five years ago but the computer I did it on up and died along with my book mark. I got a birthday email a week ago and I decided to give this place a shot it seems OK but I have mostly stuck to B&E at other fora.

What I am looking for is a place where there are other indie writers to complain about the oddities of the hiring halls for editors, cover artists and such. I hope this is such a place.

Welcome, William. We are a political forum but I think there are some writers here. We have members lounge and several sections on things other than politics. I hope you will like it here and become a part of our dysfunctional group.

I am too conservative for indie but I am sure you find what you are looking for and of course we have all sorts of topics here as Saltwin just mentioned.

As with any civilized society rules come first..

I think any newer person trying to join must read the rules, fill out a profile (how trueful is up to them) and then be allowed to post.

I am not sure about filling a full profile as a lot of people would be frightened to unless they know they can trust a website, but yes, a basic profile should be mandatory.

In a way PW is different from most other forums I browse. Someone who is not logged in cannot view threads after about (I think) ten screen changes before the system asks the person to register or log-in. I think that is perhaps why some people register but don't post. They are interested in how certain threads progress. It would be great if they do post though of course.

Anyone though can refresh the index page and even after much more than ten screen changes can see the Shoutbox and which thread has last been updated.

Did you note I did say how trueful they want to make it.And in time if they feel better about the membership could refind it some.
