The problem with the argument atheists make by stating they don't need God for morality is that it presents a faulty premise when it comes to those they oppose: as a religious person I have chosen religion in part BECAUSE I've observed that it lends itself to greater morality and because of evidence. The idea that this is between evidence and lack-of-evidence or morality-vs-needingsomthingformorality are false dilemmas.

Generosity is not the same thing as morality.
But predictable try at moving the goal-posts...

Once again, if you are supposedly not arguing something, that does not mean that others are not making that argument.

Well, it may not be much of YOUR morality, but apparently for many it is. (shrug) I suspect that you are in very, very much in the minority of the human race in separating charity from morality.

It's simple English language and common sense here...
morality: beliefs about what is right behavior and what is wrong behavior

So according to your religion, how much does one have to give before they are immoral?

That question doesn't even make any sense. Why would giving to charity make one immoral?

What's the threshhold?

I give X amount => immoral
I give X + 1 amount => moral.

I think you know it's not a quantitative issue.
What's the threshold for atheists who insist on making some irrelevant issue that they 'don't need God to do it'?

Morality having a threshold is like Obama having a limit on stupidity.

Morality--the norm of society

Immorality--the abnormal of society

Amorality--not giving a poop one way or the other

If there is no "wrong" to the issue, it's not an issue of morality then...

You're trying to turn a preference into a claim of "morality" when they are nowhere near the same thing.

What does that question even mean to you?
Did I say that the act of saying "don't need God to do it" is an issue of morality?

You can come up with a better segue attempt to move the goal-posts away from your losing claim than that...

Morality isn't only concerned about not doing wrong. It's concerned also with doing right, or good things. I'd hate to think MY morality was just about avoiding wrong. Is that all it is, to you?
