read it honestly, IP. You don't have to agree with what Jesus says but don't make up your own version.

he was answering a question about divorce THEN the disciples made a comment about staying Unmarried and Jesus commented on THAT.
unmarried = eunuch
The eunuch bit is an illustration to support the prohibition on divorce. The passage is a prohibition on divorce and has nothing to do with premarital sex.

SO being a Eunuch is like being married? or being a eunuch is like being divorced. Your reading of what you call an Illustration makes no sense.

frankly IP, it's a ridiculous reading and is as disingenuous a reading of a passage as I've read in a while.

It's clear he's ANSWERING a point about not being married. your attempt to say that Jesus is IGNORING the disciples response and making some nonsensical illustration comparing divorcing to various states of being a eunuch makes no sense at all.

And if your seriously trying to make sense of it, it just shows how much a Pretzel of the passage your willing to make to try to maintain your preconceived notion of sexually morality, not what Jesus says about it.

Jesus said "I am the way the truth and the life no one comes to the father but by me" as well.
you don't have to believe it if you don't want to, but it doesn't mean you can make the words means something other than what they are just because you don't like the implications.

You're entitled to your wrong opinion as much as I am entitled to my correct understanding.
