I don't have any "goal" in "forum life". I merely don't allow idiots the power to control my feelings. That's not "putting up a tough exterior". The phrase itself implies that I'm shielding myself, when nothing could be further from the truth. Why would I need a 'tough exterior' to shield myself from someone shooting blanks? I wouldn't. I can have all sorts of a soft and cushy exterior but when someone is shooting blanks because I refuse to give them actual bullets, then it doesn't matter.

I have a goal in posting on forums. My goal is to have fun and enjoy myself. This is a leisure activity. Mostly what I do is post poems.

Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.
Not many Christians I know do but if we slip, thank God we can quickly ask forgiveness and as with any other sin, are redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ who rose from this mortal world to sit at the right hand of the father and who will judge the living and the dead.

Blaspheming God (cursing God) can only be forgiving if I ask. No one can intercede for me for that or murder that I commit. As it is with us all.

Is that the only injunction Christians have about speech?

It is merely what I believe based on the Bible.
The whole premiss of the new testament however is about love vs hate. If words are hateful then they promote hate=violence=death=evil=the devil.
whereas kind acts/words will promote the ideal of love=peace=life=good=God.

That makes sense and is close to the Buddhist view of speech.

Yes it is close to some other faiths also. Unfortunately, kings and politicians and just people who crave power will use any religion to try to control people. They do this in Christianity by stressing legalism and many things dealt with in the old testament.
As a side note there are also Native American philosophies that are close to other world religions at the core of their beliefs.
