Oh I agree it has made me think that it is long past the time the NEA was defunded. The "art" work is not designed to be thought provoking, it is designed to offend and provoke outrage.

I would agree completely that this thing is a piece of crap.

This whole debacle might be said to be some sort of "art".
On the one hand, you have the right proclaiming that Obama has already "apologized" for the anti-Muslim video.
On the other hand, you have Muslims currently demanding that Obama apologize for the anti-Muslim video...

Can't the anti-"piece of crap" complainers realize that they are just bringing attention to this "piece of crap" that was being ignored by the broader public for a long time now?
I mean, it's like a group proclaiming "I don't like John Smith's opinion!", with the next logical step being that some news crew is going to stick a microphone next to John Smith's mouth so that he can broadcast (to a larger audience) what his opinion is.
At some stage, pragmatic recognition needs to kick in.

And that goes for BOTH sides of that coin:
- Muslim and the anti-Muslim video
- Christians and the "piece of crap"
It's just that for the Christians, I would expect that they could reason this out and understand what I just said.
For the Muslims who are killing and rioting over the video, I don't expect any semblance of that rational capability.
