Been a long while but while in school I wrote a paper on several great world religions. The striking thing to me was how similar their beliefs.

Read up on Mohammad's supposed vision, the "Night Journey to Jerusalem" for a more accurate version of the Islamic view of Jesus. Especially the part where Mo is placed above, and in greater divine favor than Christ.

Of course, any religion is likely to denigrate others, but people should not let themselves be fooled into believing that the Muslim version of Jesus is in any way or manner compatible with the Christian version.

As I understand it Mohammed had a vision where he saw several prophets commissioned him to spread the "good news" to people of that part of the world. It was his later followers who turned Mohammed into a holier object than Christ.

Again, look up the "Night Journey." On his way to the upper levels of Paradise he ascends above Jesus, who laments that fewer of his followers that Mohammad's will enter Heaven.

That's not from his followers, that's from Mo.

I probably got the clean Catholic version

But Mohammed didn't write the Koran. He was illiterate, so his followers must have.

Point.

They attribute it to him though.
