I do not need to justify my 'way of living' which, presuming you are not a thief liar or murderer, is probably similar to yours in many ways.

It seems to me that those who 'believe' have more problems with those who don't rather than the other way around.

You may or may not have a moral code to live by...in your case I just don't know. Furthermore it is questionable what you define as a moral code.

My comment about a decadent lifestyle is directed to some of the most ardent Godphobics on this site. They are admitted homosexuals and bi-sexuals.

from the op:

The evidence of God in an expanding universe : forty American scientists declare their affirmative views on religion
Personally, I don't really think that the existence of God, and affirmative views on religion are necessarily addressing the same concept. Religion does denote a belief system, and thinking that God exists does require belief, but religion implies (imo) more than belief that God exists, and denotes a practice of living in which one lives by a set of principles based on belief of what works best for living a decent life. Iow, if I don't believe in a vengeful God or a merciful God, but I believe that I should live to certain moral standards, I am still practicing a religion of sorts, just by my very belief that some actions are right, while other actions are wrong.

But your made up words are at least amusing, even if lacking in logic and relevance.

My moral code?..I don't lie, cheat, steal or commit adultry.I am willing to offer an olive branch if it will heal an argument and will give people a second...sometimes third or even fourth... chance if they have caused an upset.
I think ill treating animals should carry a stiffer punishment than it does and I'm willing to 'live and let live' if people follow differing views to mine, just as long as they do not try by fair means or foul to impose them on me.

I am not homo- or bi-sexual but have no problems at all with those who are because they have no more choice in the matter than, for example, the height to which they will grow or their apptitude for music. In other words, as some might say...'They are as God made them'

Then why are you people always attacking any mention of Judeo-Christian theology?

Personally I don't believe in the dogma of any religion, but I don't attack it at every opportunity. You must be afraid of something.

I do no such thing.

I think you're talking to the wrong people.

I believe in the creator. Call it what you may. Athiests are nothing more than self aggrandizing agnostics.

Nope, sorry. My lack of belief in the easter bunny, santa, fairies, and gods and goddesses doesn't have anything to do with any 'self-importance'. However, if I actually believed that some 'creator of the universe' actually listened to everything I said, watched everything I did, and gave a ****... well now THAT would be self-aggrandizing.
