Default Biden's 500,000 jobs--only about a third of that

Well, economists had predicted a gain of about 500,000 jobs in September.

But when the actual numbers came in, it was a mere 196,000 (or 194,000--depending upon one's source).

President Biden mumbled that he would really "like to see it [grow] faster."

Nonetheless, this represented "steady progress," he declared.

Someone--I forget, now, just who it was--noted that only someone who could describe our frenetic withdrawal from Afghanistan as a victory could also place a positive spin upon this anemic jobs number.

But that would be the EXACT OPPOSITE of the plan...

Cloward–Piven strategy

Quote:
Cloward and Piven's article is focused on forcing the Democratic Party, which in 1966 controlled the presidency and both houses of the United States Congress, to take federal action to help the poor. They stated that full enrollment of those eligible for welfare "would produce bureaucratic disruption in welfare agencies and fiscal disruption in local and state governments" that would: "...deepen existing divisions among elements in the big-city Democratic coalition: the remaining white middle class, the working-class ethnic groups and the growing minority poor. To avoid a further weakening of that historic coalition, a national Democratic administration would be constrained to advance a federal solution to poverty that would override local welfare failures, local class and racial conflicts and local revenue dilemmas."

They further wrote:

The ultimate objective of this strategy—to wipe out poverty by establishing a guaranteed annual income—will be questioned by some. Because the ideal of individual social and economic mobility has deep roots, even activists seem reluctant to call for national programs to eliminate poverty by the outright redistribution of income.

Michael Reisch and Janice Andrews wrote that Cloward and Piven "proposed to create a crisis in the current welfare system – by exploiting the gap between welfare law and practice – that would ultimately bring about its collapse and replace it with a system of guaranteed annual income. They hoped to accomplish this end by informing the poor of their rights to welfare assistance, encouraging them to apply for benefits and, in effect, overloading an already overburdened bureaucracy."

Some may love living off of 3 or 4 hundred a month unemployment but a lot of workers were women who decided to just stay home because it's too expensive to think about work. They gave up a second car and didn't make out resumes except maybe to help spose.
New jobs in Kentuck and Tenn soon. Dont know if those slave states will allow unions though.

Nationwide employers are crippled by the lack of employees due to Biden’s redistribution scheme paying them to stay home. His solution? Employers are supposed to magically conjure up more pay to outbid the Federal government. Of course Biden’s only experience with business is selling influence using his family as conduits.

After 4 years of Trump, there were 2.9 million FEWER employed Americans than on the day he took office. After 9 months of Biden, there are 4.8 million MORE Americans employed than on the day he took office, but sure, let’s pretend that it’s Biden who has the bad jobs record.

Trump's later time in office included a massive economic shutdown to fight the spread of Covid-19 leaving millions unemployed. Thanks to the Trump administration’s Operation Warp Speed which accelerated vaccine development and manufacturing according to the GAO.

Conveniently the vaccine manufacturers waited until a week or two after the 2020 election to announce they had received emergency authorization for the vaccine. Of course it was magically transformed from the dangerous quackery of the Bad Orange man to the life saving serum gifted by Biden the benevolent.

As would be expected in a recovery from a pandemic there was a surge of people finding jobs. It has nothing to do with Biden administration policy. In fact, thanks to Biden’s Marxist Build Back Better managed economy scheme employers are severely hampered by a shortage of employees even for entry level and low skill openings. Nonetheless 183,000 dropped out of the labor force in September nearly equally job growth for the month. Yeah sure, Biden has a strong jobs record.

What the hell are you talking about? The EUA’s were announced publicly by the CDC and FDA (i.e,, the Trump administration), not by the manufacturers.

Did you intone "slave" states?

Tennessee--where I live--certainly does "allow" unions.

But it is a right-to-work state. So it does not force one to join a union--simply because a particular company is unionized.

Do you believe that people should be forced--against their will--to join a union?

If a company was projected to make 500 million dollars, and they only made 196 million, the CEO would be in deep doo-doo, if not fired outright...
