Default Top U.S., China diplomats have public spat as Alaska summit opens

Having stuffed millions into the pockets of Biden administration officials including Secretary of State Blinken and at least $1.5 billion into President Bidenís, the Chinese government felt comfortable delivering a very undiplomatic tongue lashing to US officials during the opening of high level meetings last week. Opening remarks were supposed to be limited to 2 minutes for each side but the Chinese critique of US human rights violations including a nod to fellow Marxists BLM, dragged on for 17 minutes effectively poisoning the well for a productive meeting.

Quote:
Top diplomats from the U.S. and China had a public blowup in front of reporters Thursday as the two global powers met in Alaska to discuss policy and attempt to restore ties that have become increasingly strained in recent years.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken was joined in Anchorage by Jake Sullivan, President Joe Bidenís national security adviser, to meet with their Chinese counterparts, State Councilor Wang Yi and Chinese Communist Party foreign affairs chief Yang Jiechi, for two days of talks in their first face-to-face meetings.

That the Chinese discarded their usual adherence to diplomatic conventions speaks volumes about their confidence in their assessment of the Biden administration's return to the flaccid foreign policy of the Obama administration. The Chinese even have a term for the Democrats foreign policy weakness.

Quote:
Baizuo (pronounced "bye-tswaw) is a Chinese epithet meaning naive western educated person who advocates for peace and equality only to satisfy their own feeling of moral superiority. A baizuo only cares about topics such as immigration, minorities, LGBT and the environment while being obsessed with political correctness to the extent that they import backwards Islamic values for the sake of multiculturalism.

The Chinese see the baizuo as ignorant and arrogant westerners who pity the rest of the world and think they are saviours.

Biden administration officials accustomed to the coddling subservience of the US media and never Trumper Republicans by the Chinese skillful exploitation of their weaknesses. In an effort to save face US officials moved to dismiss reporters from the room. This opened the door for the spectacle of the Chinese dictatorial government arguing for open, transparent meetings while the US Republic wanted them conducted behind closed doors.

Biden's representatives couldn't even salvage a joint statement usually produced from these kind of meetings. Bidenís supposedly experienced and steady hand proved to be nothing but weakness for the Chinese to exploit. Not surprisingly the Biden propaganda machine sought to paper over the fiasco.

Quote:
Instead, they said the goal was to get a sense of where the Chinese stand on key issues so they can take stock once returning home as Biden finalizes his broader China strategy.

At no point did the US delegation put a stop to this...They just sat there and said "Thank you sir! May I have another!?!"...

Just more transparency from an administration that portends to be the most transparent administration in the history of the office.

It's easy for the Chi Coms to get uppity when you have snowflakes in charge.

I'm surprised it didn't hurt some feelings. They could have levied some hate speech allegations.
