Trump promotes Epstein-Clintons conspiracy theory, the latest in a pattern of baseless claims spread by President

Quote:
President Donald Trump on Saturday promoted a conspiracy theory linking the Clinton family to the death of multimillionaire and accused sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, the latest instance of Trump propagating baseless conspiracy theories and falsehoods.
Trump shared a tweet and video from conservative comedian Terrence Williams that claimed without evidence that former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton -- Trump's 2016 presidential election rival -- were responsible for Epstein's death. The Federal Bureau of Prisons and Attorney General Bill Barr said Epstein died in an "apparent suicide" while in federal custody.
As a result of Trump's retweet, the video received more than 3 million views on Twitter by Sunday morning -- more than triple Williams' most recent videos. Both Trump and Bill Clinton were friendly with Epstein in previous decades, but Trump seized on the conspiracy theory Saturday in his latest dig at the Clintons. The tweet also falsely claimed that Epstein died while on suicide watch, even though Epstein had been taken off of suicide watch before his death.
It's called getting ahead of the game. He wants to delay or throw off any bad publicity on himself by pointing fingers at his possible coconspirators
Better he sweep around his own door first.

The headline should read "75 Conspiracy Theories About Epstein, but Trump Mentioned One of Them, so Orangeman Bad"...

There is no evidence (to my knowledge, anyway) that would link either of the Clintons to Epstein's sudden death. And I would not wish to merely speculate, absent any serious evidence.

I do, however, wonder if it was actually suicide; Epstein is said to have been in good spirits just prior to his death.

But exactly how anyone could have gotten past the guards, in order to murder him, I have no idea.

unless it was a guard or a guard furnished him with materials for him to do it himself.
if he was offed-and take my word for it we will never know- then he probably had the goods on people across the political spectrum.

Yes, "orangemanbad" was an attempted meme once.

I get that there's some suspicious sh-t going on, but you do remember that Trump is supposed to be the president, right? The President of the United States is accusing a political opponent of murder - a former president - f-cking murder - with zero proof. I don't care what side of the aisle you're on, this is unacceptable for any US president. Period. And this isn't the first time he's pushed conspiracies (Birtherism, Muslims in NJ cheering 9/11, Ted Cruz's dad helped kill JFK, etc.).

Imagine if Barack Obama shared or retweeted "Bush did 9/11!" garbage while he was president. Kinda doubtful you'd be this glib about it.

As a sidenote: lol @ a creepy perv friend of Jeff Epstein accusing another of murdering him to cover up sex crimes. Not saying either of them did, but Trump and Bill Clinton both hung out with him frequently, dude reallllly should shut up right now.

Bill Clinton visited Lolita Island a whopping '26 times'. Donald J Trump? Zero times. Lolita Island was where the pedophilia was occurring.

Considering how low on the totem pole pedophiles in prison culture, could've just been a neglectful guard. Or a guard that was paid off, or several staff. A few million pooled from Epstein's friends would be peanuts.

Gotta get that J in there eh? lol

Trump frequented several Epstein parties in New York and Florida, including at Mar-A-Lago, and has several phone numbers listed under his name in Epstein's contacts book seized by the government. And although there's no evidence Clinton (Beyond an affidavit alleging one instance), or Trump for that matter, visited his private island, much less 26 times, Bill did make very frequent use of Epstein's private plane and in some cases without a Secret Service detail. Some of those instances were trips with Epstein himself.

I get that Trump is your guy, but a minimum, Trump and Clinton were both quite friendly with someone who turned out to be a very bad guy. There's no dancing around it, and we'll all have to deal with it IF it turns out either them committed a crime.

Well, there is a difference between the two relationships... Trump barred Epstein from Mar-a-Lago in 2004 and has had nothing good to say about the man since that point. That is not to completely absolve Trump from rubbing elbows with the guy before hand but again it's not the same sort of relationship that Bill Clinton had with the man. Comparing the two relationships = apples and oranges.
