the bottom line is for some reason few to NO ONE wants our troops out of the middle east. Few to NO ONE cares about us breaking the constitution in putting troops in in and bombing and killing people in foreign countries willy nilly the 1st place. And If you care about the troops TAKE them OFF the BATTLEFIELD. SHEESH!! what kind of bassAkward thinking says that keeping troops in a war zone makes them safer than removing them?!?!? Troop ALWAYS have the right to defend themselves he didn't ask the troops to DISARM or surrender. it's a withdrawal. Why is everyone so war MAD?!?! that removing our men and women from a fight we should have NEVER been in is CURSED. why are we of such a martial mindset that we think we HAVE to kill kill kill around the world? Venezuela? what? what has that got to do with our troops in Syria? But hey Maybe if we weren't spending billions dropping bombs and supplying troops in Syria WE could have helped Venezuela. But wait hasn't the U.S, since the late 1990s, been disrupting Venezuela supporting coup attempts against Chavez, calling him an enemy and constantly plotting his downfall and the collapse of that nation in various ways. Didn't Obama and Trump put sanctions on Venezuela to ensure their economy got worse. Who's got partial blame for the economic problems there Salt? Why wouldn't they deal with Russia... or the devil... when the US. has been crapping on them for decades? Russia and China go around the world trying to make friends after we've sent in troops, assignation squads and sanctions against the leadership and people But then we act shocked when they run to Russia and China for help. And want to cry about how Russia and China are "taking over" becasue they've established good relations. Are we that blind to our own actions, to our own part in what happen? Bottom line, NOT ALL PROBLEMS ARE REALLY PROBLEMS FOR US and THEY CAN'T ALL BE SOLVED AT THE POINT OF U.S. GUNS. If we can wake up and learn that we might be able to get more positive traction for our cooperation in the world.

![]() And for that, I commend you.
But far too many liberals--perhaps this does not include you; I really do not know--wished to kowtow to Russia during Barack Obama's eight years in office, yet have suddenly had an epiphany. During the glasnost and perestroika of Mikhail Gorbachev's years in office--and the even more conciliatory tone of Boris Yeltsen's years--Russia seemed like a strategic partner (even if not quite an ally). But during Vladimir Putin's reign--he apparently wants to restore the "glory" of the former Soviet empire--things have changed drastically. I do wish that President Trump would realize this. But it would also be nice if liberals did not invoke a double standard here.
