Default Trump asked Russians to get Clinton emails. They immediately started trying.

https://www.cnn.com/2018/07/13/polit...ng-/index.html

The Conspirators spearfished individuals affiliated with the Clinton Campaign throughout the summer of 2016. For example, on or about July 27, 2016, the Conspirators attempted after hours to spearfish for the first time email accounts at a domain hosted by a third-party provider and used by Clinton's personal office. At or around the same time, they also targeted seventy-six email addresses at the domain for the Clinton Campaign.

On July 27, 2016, Trump gave a news conference in Florida. At that news conference, he asked Russia to find Clinton emails.

Now, in context, we should note that Trump did not specifically ask Russians to hack Clinton campaign officials, which is what they ended up doing. He was referring to emails from her time as secretary of state that were wiped from the private server where she kept them.
It sure looks like it was what is usually referred to as an "off the cuff" remark to me. The worst I would say is it was perhaps inappropriate.
Note that he didn't request that they hack her accounts even though that's what they did.
Apparently they also couldn't find her missing emails. If that was even what they were looking for.

Trump's sarcastic remark was referred to the emails illegally stored on Hillary's personal server. The email archives and all backup copies had been deleted by Clinton's staff, an obvious criminal act showing intent. Obama's DOJ graciously gave the staffers immunity from prosecution their association with Hillary making them above the law.

Is spearfish the left's new word of the day? This too shall pass.

Trump's exact words in their entirety.

“I will tell you this, Russia: If you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing,” Trump said at a press conference in Florida. “I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press.”

How is that a call to action? And how does that affect the election?

The proposition that Trump was asking the Russians to hack into Hillary or the DNC's servers by this off the cuff remark, was one of the most preposterously stupid assertions put forth by the MSM and the left (but I repeat myself) during the election, and that is a pretty high bar. How anyone can equate this statement to Russian hacking, that was already happening anyway, is beyond ridiculous.

The dissection by the media of any comment/statement/twitter made by Trump has become comical.

If I had time to waste, it would be interesting to apply the same technique to previous POTUS's and or candidates, and see what picture one could paint.

If one looks hard enough, you could find all sorts of things. Weather they are real or not, is a whole 'nuther game.

I bet you wouldn't see one not cancel a summit with a country who just had 13 more of 25 military personnel and statesmen indicted for election tampering and money laundering in the U.S.

Liberals always read between the lines, and come up with their own conclusions.

So, does that mean that President Trump is controlling Putin? Sure sounds that way using liberal (il)logical thinking.

Liberal and logic are mutually exclusive terms.
