Default Trump bypasses Congressal Republicans

Just about everyone agrees that President Trump ignored Republicans in Congress, in order to strike a deal with the Democrats, as regarding an increase in the debt ceiling (and, of course, Hurricane Harvey relief).

The overriding question, of course, is: Why?

My guess is that it was a finger in the eye, intended to convey the message: "If you (Republicans) won't give me what I want, then I will go to the other party."

And since President Trump is really not, ideologically, a typical Republican, this is probably much easier.

Thoughts?

Trump is whatever the room wants him to be. He was a Democrat, lets see, last year, or maybe two, ago. I hope Trump does well and all this craziness works out for the best, but I cant believe this guy is POTUS.

All I know is Paul Ryan was scratching his head, and Schumer and Pelosi were throwing confetti.

Your wrong about Trump, and have been since inception.

He has a plan and is fallowing it. This may well be a warning to the Republicans who have not wanted his agenda. In fact it most likely is.

You do not get were Trump is, you do not put the Clintons back in the trailer park by being stupid.

You and so many other here have underestimated Trump from the beginning. I suggest you start to take him seriously, and as a man with a plan.

Then you may come to understand. But to simply think he is dumb, only shows how dumb you have been about him..

You don't have a clue what he is doing and who told him to do it. You simply cover for him. Like Igor

You have said he was everything negative you could, but left out being dumb? I don't believe it.

You call him every name in the book, right along with your buddy Mikeyy.

Btw hanging with him has given you a reputation.

Trump is a crazy, radical responsible with his recklessness for alienating the noble Democrats who vote in nonpartisan lockstep opposition to his agenda. But when he reaches across the aisle, it is proof he is "whatever the room wants him to be."

Who cares if huge majorities in both houses approved the deal, Trump should have blocked hurricane relief and the debt ceiling increase. What's the Trump hating media to do?

Fresh off their 5 week vacation Republican Congressional leaders wanted another 6 months worth of free spending. Don't want to endanger that Christmas and New Year's holiday. Trump wisely chose the Democrats 3 month alternative requiring Congressional action by early December.

Republicans in Congress were never on board with Trump, and I never considered him a Republican. Neither did they. I thought being more or less an independent was a good thing and still do. Establishment didn't and don't.

I thought then, and I think now, that the Established Republicans never dreamed that an (R) could possibly be the next President, and they were fine with that. Sit at the bottom end of the table, but still get to partake of the caviar and Wellington. Now President Trump has turned the Wellington into rump roast. That's gotta hurt.

And you do, Mikeyy?

In the time I've been here, I've heard nothing from you except unbacked 1 liners, name calling, and accusations. Cut and pastes from far left publications, generally without merit. And liberal use of the ignore list.
