Joe is a good motivational speaker, and I'm sure his presence helps them know we haven't forgotten them. The President has appointed a man in charge of rebuilding and relief efforts as far as coordinating with the federal government is concerned.
It is such a tragedy and some stories are heartbreaking. still the determination and strength of ordinary people is something I find astounding and inspirational.
But yeah sometimes words can help heal.

That is a rhetorical question. No need to answer. We all know what the dialogue in the mainstream media and Democratic party would be. They would be running, not walking, to the nearest microphone to scream about racism. Hell, Democrats are already accusing Republicans of racism and sexism over them being critical of Rice. Apparently the only reason conservatives do not like Rice and are grilling her is because she is a black woman.

Biden was born in Pennsylvania but raised in Delaware for much of his early life.
"Homeboy" just means he comes from the same place as the people he's addressing. I call people my "homies" and "peeps" all the time. It can mean people from your family, or your neighborhood, or your community, or your general geographical area (and can be used to signify as broad a region as the entire South, or the whole of New England), or even your socio-economic demographic (ie, "my working class homies"). It means people you feel some sort of affinity with.

I'm not getting the reference to race; it is not a racial thing. It is a hipster thing. White people probably use this vintage slang far more often than black people do, generally tongue in cheek. It's not been used in earnest by people of any race since about the mid-1980s.

Oh, the contortions the lefties are using to excuse Biden.
