Default Internal documents shows Obama deportation proposal could cost more than $585M

Quote:
The Obama administration's new plan to grant temporary work permits to many young, illegal immigrants who otherwise could be deported may cost more than $585 million and require hiring hundreds of new federal employees to process more than 1 million anticipated requests, according to internal documents obtained by The Associated Press.

The Homeland Security Department plans, marked "not for distribution," describe steps that immigrants will need to take — including a $465 paperwork fee designed to offset the program's cost — and how the government will manage it. Illegal immigrants can request permission to stay in the country under the plan by filing a document, "Request for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals," and simultaneously apply for a work permit starting Aug. 15.

Increase the size of government and spend us into bankruptcy, that's obama.

At this point, mass deportation is not probable. I still feel it is paramount to know who is in our country. We should continue to round up the felons, criminals, and those who will harm our country and take 'em out. In fact, I think we should be aggressively perusing them. However, because most of the illegals here to stay and to seek work, we should encourage them to go for green cards and citizenship. They start working legally, they become tax payers, and just like other green card holders (like myself), if they break the law, we will deport them. We will never get rid of all, or even most of them.

What bothers me most about things like this is we are putting criminals ahead of the people who are trying to get here the honest legal way.

We are rewarding criminals.

Wow. So, plans to improve our society cost money. Crazy. Who would've thunk it?
And in other breaking news, water is wet.

How many school lunches for the children of legal residents could this money have provided? There is only so much Federal spending that can be done until we get a credit downgrade, oops. So what is the priority the children of illegal aliens or legal residents?

Children are children. Seriously, is your heart the size of a thimble?
If a child is too poor to afford food, I could care less if his parents are "legal residents" or not; he has to be fed.

Anyway, don't pretend you support free lunches for legal American citizens who live in poverty, or their children. We're all familiar with your posting history, and are well aware of your position on welfare.

If they are here illegally, working illegally, and not paying taxes, they are criminals many times over, and I see no reason they shouldn't be deported with the understanding that should they ever return, they'll be imprisoned for many years.

There is no such thing as a country without established rigid borders.

OK genius...

Since Congress controls the purse strings, isn't it LOGICAL and REASONABLE that the executive branch go through Congress when there's an increase in costs?...And don't you think it's pretty UNconstitutional when the executive branch makes decisions that increase costs WITHOUT checks and balances from the other branches?...

Or is it just OK when the Liberal man-crush does it, but if it were someone else, then it's wrong?...
