Well now that they have tried austerity it has affected the world economy, so yes all things in moderation. If tax cuts that were implemented here hadn't been so fast and so deep over the course of the administrations when they came about we might not have our present predicament.

France high one of the highest tax rates in the world, making ours look like pennies. So yes, Obama does have the authority to tell France that they're at a point where they must begin cutting programs instead of increasing taxes. Continuing the austerity measures is really the only option for France.

Huh? That's quite a stretch. Obama is obviously some stripe of Marxist. But for now, he's one that needs to be elected, and he certainly doesn't need the voters exposed to the spectacle of a collapsing France under the leadership of another Marxist.

Can somebody explain to me where Obama has received this "authority" to tell any sovereign country anything?
