I have read some stuff that shows that Bush has spent three times more then Obama.

All in all, George Bush took an actual sur*plus of $127 billion in 2001, and turned it into a deficit of $319 bil*lion in 2005. His total in new spending equaled over $5 trillion. This figure dwarfs the $1.44 trillion in new spending President Obama is expected to make through two terms ending in 2017.
It should be noted that the biggest spend*ing spree George Bush and the Republicans went on, according to these figures from the Congressional Budget Office, were the Bush Tax Cuts. The New York Times report puts it this way; “If all of them [Bush Tax Cuts] expired as scheduled at the end of 2012, future deficits would be cut by about half, to sustainable levels”.

I keep hearing about Obama being a huge spender but what is the truth? IYHO

I don't believe in hell. But I have never been in the same room as Cheney. But they seem to be off base going after Obama on spending. Of course this gets back to if their guy did it it must have been important but Obama does it it's because he is a socialist.

One of these Presidents sent us two unpaid wars, gave us massive tax breaks without offsetting them with adequate spending reductions, grew government's size and scope, expanded entitlements without paying for them, sent out "refund" and stimulus checks, and bailed out failing companies via TARP.

Must've been Obama the socialist time-traveler.

Bush, The gift that keeps on giving. You know what I think? I think that the anger the right has put on Obama is out of frustration for not being able politically to call out their guy. Their memory started failing as soon as there was an election.

The right talks about Obama's out of control spending, but I wonder how much the Dept of Homeland Security costs? That was created by the little shrub. Yet they say nothing about that spending.

Nobody will defend him. They will attack us for bringing him up. But they can't ever really defend the bad job they did. In everything they touched really...Well except AIDS in Africa. Bush did OK there.

True, but I'm also disappointed that Obama and Congress hasn't done enough to bring down the deficits created by the previous Administration. We have passed some spending reductions into law but more needs to be done in order to adequately decrease spending and the deficit. We haven't done enough to cut the budget and taxes are still too low for the bills we have to pay.
