This isn't a static thing. Bush had done tax cuts that were eating up the revenue needed to pay our bills. Different cures for different illness.

During EIGHT YEARS of the Bush Presidency, the GOP leaders Voted 19 Times To Increase Debt Limit by A LESSER AMOUNT Democrats Wanted to Raise it in LESS THAN THREE YEARS of Obama's presidency...

Obama supporters seem not amazed or annoyed by this...In fact, they seem to support it...

Here we go Dimocrats, it's Bush Hitler's fault we are nearly bankrupt. Therefore we dare not repeat his mistakes by raising the debt ceiling again. If that darn Bush hadn't spent all our money we could do it but not now.

Great find MrL. Seems out of power they wanted to stop any advances while in power they want to make their own advances.

It's amazing how a thread like this can make references back to the Bush years (as raised by a Republican), but a similar reference by the left would be received with that mindless "bu-bu-bu-bu bush!" reply.

yes, there is hypocrisy on both sides, but with that said, it is now obama who looks like the hypocrite.

And, cutting expenses is the only way I know of to get out of debt. When I overspend I have to make sacrifices. I can't keep spending at the same rate especially when my income remains the same. I can't ask my neighbor for more money, only the government can do that, which is why right now it is time to CUT OUT THE FRIGGIN SPENDING!
